Two episodes in and, much to the surprise of no one, Game of Thrones season 6 already has fans reeling with plot twists that have shocked, awed and really lumped more questions on top of those precious few answers.

But in keeping with the relentless nature of the series itself, HBO has rolled out a string of new images to accompany the official synopsis for episode 3, “Oathbreaker.” Among the chess pieces to receive the spotlight are Emilia Clarke’s wayward Mother of Dragons, Daenerys Targaryen, Peter Dinklage’s fan-favorite Tyrion and Bran, standing upright on both legs alongside Max von Sydow’s mysterious Three-Eyed Raven in what we assume to be another of the young Stark’s visions.

Here, the network teases the events to come for a handful of Westeros’ power players: “Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) meets her future. Bran meets the past. Tommen confronts the High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce). Arya (Maisie Williams) trains to be No One. Varys (Conleth Hill) finds an answer. Ramsay gets a gift.”

What’s strange is that there’s no mention of Castle Black in the episode’s description, indicating that HBO will let last week’s money shot simmer for just a little while longer before expanding the arc of Davos, Melisandre and Co.

Game of Thrones continues apace on Sunday, May 8 with the premiere of “Oathbreaker.” There’s still time to circle back on catch up on “Home,” of course, and just yesterday series showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss reflected on the revelation of Jon Snow’s fate.
