Geoff Johns Confirms Jason Todd And Donna Troy For Titans

Though my confidence in the upcoming live action Titans series has seriously sunken now that I've seen the first trailer (social media hasn't been kind to it, either), I can at least applaud it for bringing various DC characters who may have previously been unknown to the masses to the forefront.

Though my confidence in the upcoming live action Titans series has seriously sunken now that I’ve seen the first trailer (social media hasn’t been kind to it, either), I can at least applaud it for bringing various DC characters who may have previously been unknown to the masses to the forefront.

So, before we jump to conclusions by saying the show as a whole could be as bad as its costuming, let’s talk about some of its worst kept secrets. By that, I mean the certainty that both Jason Todd and Donna Troy will be showing up at some point.

Thanks to Instagram posts and photos captured on the set, we know those who’ll one day claim the mantles of Robin (and, eventually, Red Hood) and Wonder Girl are a lock, but it’s always reassuring to receive confirmation through official channels, which former DC President Geoff Johns has just done at San Diego Comic-Con.

Beyond that, no other information has found its way online, but we’ll remind you that Jason is being played by Curran Walters, with Conor Leslie inhabiting the role of Donna. All I ask is that they retain the qualities of their comic book counterparts, but Ms. Troy could end up saying something like “f**k Wonder Woman” for all we know. I mean, cursing the Dark Knight would work for the Red Hood, but I digress.

The DC Universe streaming service – Titans included –  is set to launch sometime this fall via iOS, Android, Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Android TV, in addition to offering online and mobile access. Will you be subscribing to it? Be sure to let us know in the usual place.
