Grant Gustin Teases New Costume For The Flash Season 6

When it comes to the various costumes Grant Gustin has donned on The Flash, there have been almost as many of those as there have been seasons of the show itself. Well, the threads worn in seasons 1-3 were technically the same, though the original red circle logo on the chest was swapped out for a white one in season 2. Then, we saw our hero suit up in different attire unique to seasons 4 and 5, respectively.

That said, it’s only natural for we the fans to anticipate yet another aesthetic upgrade when the saga resumes this fall. Already, we’ve seen set photos confirm Killer Frost getting a new costume, so why not the Scarlet Speedster himself?

Thanks to a social media post shared by Grant Gustin that was later uploaded to Instagram by “realworldofflash,” we’re able to glimpse the teaser video found below. As you can see, the lead actor is proudly strutting down the sidewalk in what are obviously new pants – and if I’m not mistaken, new boots – thereby channeling John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever.

Based on the show’s filming schedule, it may be fair to assume the new costume will debut in episode 6×02, “A Flash of Lightning.” The reason I’m saying that is because we’ve already seen photos showing Barry battling Godspeed while wearing the season 5 suit, and that’s likely going down in the premiere. I could be wrong, but the timeline given supports my assumption.

Fear not though, because it probably won’t be much longer before we receive an official look at the new costume. With San Diego Comic-Con kicking off this week, we’re virtually guaranteed new trailers for various Arrowverse shows during their respective panels on Saturday, July 20th. As always, it’s advised that you watch this space around that time.

The Flash returns with new episodes on Tuesday, October 8th on The CW.
