Hawk And Dove Reportedly Featured In Titans TV Series

Casting for upcoming DC TV series Titans is currently underway, with three of the central characters already signed up. Teagan Croft will play Raven, Anna Diop is Starfire and, most recently, we learned that Pirates of the Caribbean's Brenton Thwaites is Dick Grayson/Robin. Until all the parts are filled, however, the rest of the cast of characters is being kept a secret, but a new report might just reveal two superheroes and one comic book supporting player who are set to be involved.

That Hashtag Show is alleging that they’ve got hold of two official casting calls for Titans which let slip that vigilante duo Hawk and Dove could be featured in the show. While THS doesn’t have a character breakdown for Hawk, the description of Dove gives us some clues as to how the pair will be portrayed. The site also claims that Smallville‘s Alan Ritchson and The Mindy Project‘s Rebecca Rittenhouse are being lined up to star as the characters.

MOLLY Recurring Female (25-30) [Open ethnicity] Graceful master fighting machine. She straddles the world of being a thrill-seeking and do-gooding vigilante, along with being her crime fighting partner’s emotional anchor and caregiver. The second casting call reveals that someone familiar to Nightwing fans will make the leap from the comics to Titans, as well: Detective Rohrbach, who’s somewhat like Grayson’s own version of Commissioner Gordon, as she operates as his police liaison in Bludhaven City. Whether the show itself is set in Bludhaven, we don’t know as of yet, but here’s the casting call:

DET AMY ROHRBACH Supporting Female (25-35) [OPEN] She is the detective alongside Dick Grayson who knows more than she lets on. Pretty, has tattoos.

We’re inclined to believe this report as Hawk and Dove, in particular, are just the sort of level of superheroes that DC’s TV division can claim without running into issues with their movies. The duo have also never been portrayed in live-action before, so their inclusion would be yet another reason why Titans is must-see TV for fans.
