CBS has released the first official images from the February 8th episode of Supergirl, and they take us on an unexpected trip to Krypton after a mysterious (and pretty gross looking) alien attaches itself to Kara.
The episode is titled “For The Girl Who Has Everything,” and for further details, here’s the official synopsis courtesy of the network:
Kara’s friends must find a way to save her life when a parasitic alien attaches itself to her and traps her in a dream world where her family is alive and her home planet was never destroyed. Also, Alex, Hank and the DEO must fend off a Kryptonian attack while Kara is out of commission, on SUPERGIRL.
Paying a visit to Krypton and seeing what Kara’s life might have been like should be very interesting for fans, especially as this is the episode which is going to introduce us to a young Kal-El (better known as Superman outside of this dream world).
So far, Supergirl has gone from strength to strength, and exploring an alternate reality like this will definitely be a lot of fun, even if it is all just a dream. Whether or not what she sees will have any lasting ramifications is hard to say, though being able to revisit Krypton is obviously going to be significant for Supergirl and might just help inform what’s going on with her villainous Aunt.
