The Preacher pilot aired on AMC this past Sunday, but because the cable network wanted to take advantage of the extra viewers it would potentially gain from premiering the same night as Fear The Walking Dead‘s midseason finale, we have to wait two weeks for the second instalment of the comic book adaptation.

To keep us going in the meantime, AMC has today released a director’s commentary from Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, which you can listen to by clicking here. During the discussion, they talk in detail about adapting the Garth Ennis comic book series and obviously touch on all of the episode’s biggest moments.

The directors of The Interview are probably the last people you’d expect to bring Preacher to the small screen, but both Rogen and Goldberg are huge fans of the series and have fought for years to make this adaptation happen. Their passion for the property comes through very clearly in this commentary and hopefully we’ll be seeing more bonus content like this in the weeks to come.
