Marvel Discussing Moon Knight And Sentry TV Shows For Disney Plus

It sounds like Marvel Studios are definitely planning to make the most of having a whole new platform to work on with Disney's upcoming streaming service Disney Plus. Overseen by president Kevin Feige, numerous big budget mini-series are in the works over at the House of Ideas, at various stages of development. The Loki show and Vision and the Scarlet Witch seem to be relatively far along, while others such as the Winter Soldier/Falcon team-up and Rocket and Groot project are still at an earlier stage.

But there are plenty more where they came from. In fact, some of the ideas are just being thrown around at Marvel HQ right now, without any plan to rush them into production. And two of those ideas apparently include series for both Moon Knight and the Sentry, though this would apparently be “much, much further out.”

Still, fans will be excited to hear that these two popular, underrated characters could make their MCU debuts eventually. Moon Knight, in particular, has long been a popular choice for a Netflix TV series, as the gritty street-wise hero would have fit in well amongst Daredevil and Jessica Jones. However, with the death of the Defenders-verse, perhaps a Disney Plus show would be the next best thing. After all, there’s definitely a lot of potential to be mined in a hero with multiple personality disorder and the powers of an Egyptian God.

Sentry, meanwhile, is essentially a twist on the Superman archetype. An overweight, middle aged man discovers that he’s actually one of the most powerful heroes in the Marvel universe and seeks to find out why he’s been removed from the world’s memories. His story has taken many dark twists since his beginnings, which makes him a curious choice for the ostensibly family-friendly Disney Plus, but we’d love to see him on screen regardless.

As this intel comes from 4Chan, it’s best to take it with a grain of salt for now. Plus, even if it is true, it doesn’t sound like we’d hear anything official for a while. But, assuming this info can be trusted, which of these would you rather Marvel make first? A Moon Knight or a Sentry series? Have your say in the comments section below.
