Unfortunately, The CW decided against bringing Supergirl to their network, making any crossovers with their current roster of DC Comics superheroes somewhat unlikely. However, as the above video makes clear, the character is going to have more than enough to contend with, as she battles it out with comic book villains like Maxwell Lord and Red Tornado.

If you haven’t really been following news on Supergirl or forgot all about it thanks to the hype surrounding the impending return of Arrow and The Flash, here’s the official synopsis to refresh your memory:

Supergirl is an action-adventure drama based on the DC Comics character Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist), Superman’s (Kal-El) cousin who, after 12 years of keeping her powers a secret on Earth, decides to finally embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be. Greg Berlanti, Ali Adler, Sarah Schecter and Andrew Kreisberg are executive producers, while the pilot episode was directed by Glen Winter (Arrow, The Flash).

The pilot for Supergirl was very well-received after leaking online earlier this year and following a screening for fans at the San Diego Comic-Con, so it’s clearly a series well worth keeping an eye on when it premieres next month.

Tell us, will you be tuning in when Kara Zor-El hits CBS in October? Sound off below and let us know.
