The first official images from next week’s episode of Arrow have been released, and they feature a first look at Oliver Queen and Damien Darhk coming face to face as the Green Arrow’s alter-ego makes his intention to save Star City (as its mayor) clear.

There’s also a first look at the now very much alive Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) once again working alongside Felicity. It remains to be seen how he’ll end up factoring into DC’s Legends of Tomorrow at this stage, but we’re certainly eager to find out.

Here’s the (surprisingly brief) synopsis for the episode, courtesy of The CW:

Team Green Arrow’s ongoing battle with Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) is complicated by a shocking revelation. Thea’s (Willa Holland) bloodlust returns and she loses control in front of Alex (guest star Parker Young). James Bamford directed the episode written by Speed Weed & Keto Shimizu.

These images may be light on Arrow‘s superheroes, but the emphasis on Oliver Queen’s mayoral campaign is very interesting. The fact that Damien Darhk is going to somehow get involved with the hero’s plans should shake things up, too, though based on the title and description, it’s going to be the shocking revelation about Diggle’s brother that takes centre stage in this episode of Arrow.
