The Riddler And Others Conspire Against Penguin In New Gotham Clip

In recent weeks, the various folks that make up Gotham‘s criminal element have been forced to choose sides in a war that may threaten to tear the city asunder, making for the strangest of bedfellows. In fact, that theme will play a vital role in tonight’s episode as the Batman prequel series pays tribute to Nine Inch Nails with “Heroes Rise: Pretty Hate Machine.”

Should you require more evidence of this, you need only view the sneak peek embedded at the top that shows the Riddler attempting to persuade Barbara Kean, Tabitha Galavan and Butch Gilzean to join him in making sure that Penguin stay six feet under. If you’ve been keeping up with the show, you’re well aware that there’s no love lost between Edward Nygma and the Sirens crew. But when you have Penguin and his army of freaks, the Court of Owls and possibly the GCPD coming at you from multiple sides, you’ll want to do all you can in order to assure your survival.

And while it may seem a bit more subtle, you’ll definitely want to pay attention to the tone Barbara and Tabitha are taking with each other. Their falling out has been hinted at in recent interviews, something that may play a part in the former becoming this series’ version of Harley Quinn.
