Despite the fact that we still have three months to go until our favorite Arrowverse series return for another go-round, we can at least check off a major milestone on the road to premiere time. To be more specific, it’s worth mentioning that cameras have begun rolling on The Flash and some of its other sister shows.
Then again, this shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise given that the bulk of these series begin filming in early July each summer. Plus, the inevitability was guaranteed once lead actor Grant Gustin began posting images taken from table readings on social media.
This time we have Canadagraphs to thank for visual evidence, as they’ve managed to capture a few casual shots of Gustin, Jesse L. Martin and Carlos Valdes as they begin production on the sixth season. Unfortunately, Gustin isn’t sporting a Flash costume of any sort, so we can’t tell you if indeed he’s getting yet another wardrobe upgrade.
On the plus side, it’s being said that most of the cast were on hand to shoot some sort of scene in a backyard. If I were to wager a guess, maybe the STAR Labs crew are being given a rare chance to enjoy a cookout together.
When it comes to season 6 as a whole, we’re still very much in the dark – though we should learn much more about what to expect at San Diego Comic-Con in under two weeks’ time. For now, we can tell you that a new big bad will descend upon Central City, and that Cisco and Caitlin will acquaint themselves with an alien-obsessed scientist.
The Flash returns with new episodes on Tuesday, October 8th on The CW.
