Spine-tingling ‘Secret Invasion’ fan poster teases the MCU comeback we’re all waiting for

We'll all be collectively dreaming it into reality.

Marvel fans are still holding out hope that the upcoming Disney Plus series Secret Invasion will bring about the return of a fan-favorite character that has never really gotten her proper dues. Rumors that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s Daisy “Quake” Johnson could be a part of the Nick Fury-led spy thriller were everywhere during its development and production stages, but now that Secret Invasion is close to premiering, and no leaks or official confirmation have surfaced, some are giving up hope.

Others, however, are passionately practicing the art of manifestation by making their own character poster for Chloe Bennet’s Daisy, in the style of the other promotional material that has been released by Marvel for the show.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. marked the MCU’s very first venture into television, with Nick Fury playing an important part in the show’s first season. Eventually, though, the show started leaning away from the main continuity of the films, and the crossovers became fewer and further between. Arguably S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s most prominent players, Agent Phil Coulson and Agent Daisy Johnson gained huge popularity among fans of the show, who have been waiting for the characters to get a proper chance among the MCU’s big leagues for a few years now.

Coulson’s return in 2019’s Captain Marvel had everyone hopeful that other AoS characters might follow, but so far their wishes have not been granted. Secret Invasion and the speculation of a Daisy cameo, are the closest we’ve been since.

The confirmed cast for Secret Invasion is impressive with or without Bennet, with names like Samuel L. Jackson, Olivia Coleman, Emilia Clarke, and Cobie Smulders all attached. The show will be dealing with the Skrulls’ attempt to infiltrate Earth through their shape-shifting abilities, effectively destabilizing entire governments and nations. It comes to Disney Plus June 21, 2023.
