Team Arrow Hunt The Star City Slayer In New Photos

After taking in Arrow‘s highly enjoyable 150th episode which saw its share of cameos made by returning actors last night, I’m more than ready to see what next week’s episode has to offer. Actually, if we’re to anticipate “Star City Slayer” based on its name value alone, it may be fair to say things could get pretty grim in short order.
As you may remember, this is actually the episode which we didn’t learn the title for until fairly recently. For some reason, showrunner Beth Schwartz held off on disclosing that major detail, but now we know to expect the relatively obscure DC villain of the same moniker.
Admittedly, I didn’t make the connection between the Star City Slayer and Brendan Fletcher’s Stanley Dover (he’s the big Green Arrow fan who escaped from Slabside the very same night as Oliver) until last night, but again, it’s not like the character is as well known as, say, Deathstroke or Ra’s al Ghul. Either way, you have the gallery below to tide you over until we rejoin our heroes.
While you browse the slideshow, you’ll probably notice how it features only members of Team Arrow tracking down the new menace in town. I’m guessing the network is holding their cards close to the vest in regard to him, but it’s not hard to put two and two together as I did. In fact, he’s also probably the one who’s been leaving the gang those threatening, creepy notes.
For more on “Star City Slayer,” be sure to check out the official synopsis:
THE TEAM IS TARGETED – Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) are disappointed after they learn that William (guest star Jack Moore) is hiding something from them. Wanting to focus on his family, Oliver steps back from his Green Arrow duties and let’s the team take over tracking down a serial killer. However, when the team becomes targets for the killer, things take a bloody turn. Gregory Smith directed the episode written by Beth Schwartz & Jill Blankenship (#713). Original airdate 2/11/2019.
Arrow airs on Monday nights on The CW.
