The unstoppable ‘Warrior Nun’ fandom expands its efforts to lend an assist to the WGA

How do they find the time?

In fact, to coincide with the birthday of star Alba Baptista, the Halo Bearers have opted to ignite a fundraising drive in her honor that will financially benefit the Writers Guild of America, who are of course embedded in the midst of an ongoing strike that’s in real danger of grinding the whole of Hollywood to a fault.

As the majority of their efforts tend to do, the latest chapter in the wholesome worldwide operation has captured the imagination of showrunner and executive producer Simon Barry, himself a staunch supporter of both the WGA and the #SaveWarriorNun sensation, with the filmmaker offering his wholehearted thumbs-up on social media.

It’s been made abundantly clear countless times over that Warrior Nun supporters will not go quietly into the night, but they deserve an additional pat on the back for drum up even more awareness and remuneration for the The Entertainment Community Fund to Support Film and Television Workers. If that’s not dedication to the cause, then what is?
