True Blood Creator Alan Ball Semi-Confirms Season 5

Alan Ball, creator of HBO’s monstrous hit True Blood, informed the attendees at the Television Critics Association press tour that he has no intention of ending the show anytime soon, following up with what he told Entertainment Weekly at Comic-Con.

When asked about the show’s future, he replied, “I have no desire to leave. Doing the show is more fun than anything else I’ve ever done.” This is shortly after the Comic-Con interview where he said that although season five has yet to be officially renewed, he and the writers are already working on plot details for another season.

True Blood is a huge success for HBO, and with Ball’s latest comments, there is no reason for fans to believe that the show will not be renewed for another season.

Although Ball hasn’t had much to say about what season five will contain, he has hinted at the origin story of one of the vampires. My money’s on Pam (Kristen Bauer), who remains one of the only leading vampires whose history has yet to be explored.

Speaking about the rest of season four with EW, Ball hinted at some serious spoilers, involving Jason (Ryan Kwanten) and Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll), possible character deaths, and a scandalous sequence with Sookie (Anna Paquin), Eric (Alexander Skarsgard), and Bill (Stephen Moyer).
