Well, The Walking Dead aired its mid-season finale tonight and it certainly left viewers with a lot to talk about as the long wait for the show to return begins.
From the super creepy Whisperers to that shocking death of a fan favorite character, and everything in between, it’s fair to say that the zombie drama fully embraced its horror roots and went out on a high this evening, and up above, you can catch your very first look at what’s to come.
Though brief, the promo teases that things aren’t going to get much better for the gang, with lots of danger on the horizon and threats lurking around every corner. Dark times lie ahead then when The Walking Dead returns, and we simply cannot wait to see what else is in store for us.

Of course, the remainder of the season will be focused heavily on the Whisperers and talking to CinemaBlend tonight, showrunner Angela Kang had the following to say about how they’ll factor into things moving forward:
“I think it’s really just a fascinating group. They’re unlike any group that our people have encountered before, and their philosophy is so specific and so strange. So that’s a big part of the story going forward is we will just kind of peel the layers of that onion and you’ll just learn more and more about who they are and what they believe. But also in the way that they apply that, you know?”
