Destiny March 17 Xur Visit: What’s The Agent Of The Nine Selling This Week?

Xur’s back for another weekend of wheeling and dealing in Destiny, but where’s he decided to set up shop and, more importantly, is the Agent of the Nine selling anything worth the visit? By now, I imagine most long-standing Guardians have probably completed their collections of Exotic weapons and armor, but even if that’s the case, there’s always the opportunity to stockpile some additional Three of Coins for all your PvE needs, so don’t neglect to pay the Agent of the Nine a visit just yet.

Xur’s back once again in Destiny, offering a fresh batch of new Exotic gear for Guardians to pore over, but where’s he decided to set up shop and, more importantly, is the Agent of the Nine selling anything worth the visit? By now, most of you have probably completed your collections of Exotic weapons and armor, but even if that’s the case, there’s always the opportunity to stockpile some additional Three of Coins for all your PvE needs, so don’t neglect to pay the vendor a visit just yet.

The tentacle-faced enigma has returned to the Tower this week to hang out with the Vanguard leaders and as usual, he’s got a piece of Exotic gear on sale for each of the Hunter, Titan and Warlock classes as well as an Exotic weapon.

Check out the full inventory below:

Legacy engram (leg armor) – 29 Strange Coins
The Glasshouse (Titan helmet) – 13 Strange Coins
Shinobu’s Vow (Hunter gauntlets) – 13 Strange Coins
The Ram (Warlock helmet) – 13 Strange Coins
Telesto (fusion rifle) – 17 Strange Coins
Three of Coins – 7 Strange Coins

Well then, isn’t that a turn-up for the books? Every last item on sale this week is worth your Strange Coins, but if you’re short on currency, my pick would be Shinobu’s Vow. Not only do the Hunter gauntlets make the Bladedancer subclass’ Skip Grenades more effective, but you get one extra charge, too. As anyone who’s encountered them in the Crucible can tell you, they’re scarily effective at flushing out opponents and forcing them to retreat. If you’d rather go with The Ram or The Glasshouse, both offer excellent buffs to the Defender and Voidwalker subclasses respectively.

As for Telesto, it may not be the most effective killing machine in the Crucible, but it’s easily able to melt entire packs of enemies if you’re undertaking Strikes with the Void Burn modifier. Plus, it’s one of the more unique weapons in the game, so I’d recommend picking it up if you haven’t already.

Xur leaves Destiny‘s shores on Sunday, March 19, so don’t leave it too long to pay the vendor a visit. Now more than ever, however, it might be best to unload your Three of Coins on purchasing Heavy Ammo synths, what with the shooter’s final ever sandbox update, Age of Triumph due to arrive later this month.
