An assault on the senses in every which way, the snippet offers a peek at the variety of accolades available within the game’s online component, including some of the hellish demons you’ll be able to transform into. From the iconic Revenant to the elusive Spectre, the DOOM of 2016 is all about bringing old-school mayhem to the current-gen consoles with a gleeful, if twisted sense of style.

Due to release in May, budding fans will be pleased to note that a closed beta will take place towards the end of this month. Available to those who pre-ordered 2014’s Wolfenstein: The New Order and redeemed their beta code, further details regarding the online test – and the contents set to be included in it – will likely be revealed closer to the time. For more information regarding signing up, head on over to Bethesda’s official page.

Caked in blood, DOOM will launch worldwide across PS4, Xbox One and PC on May 13, and you can expect a buttery smooth 60fps across all platforms.
