Do you have what it takes to be the ultimate assassin? Yes? Well, there’s a safe way to prove it, as Square Enix has just launched Hitman: Absolution.

Tasking gamers with taking out high priority targets while assuming fake identities and utilizing stealth, Hitman: Absolution looks to be a great addition to an already storied franchise. As such, fans of the series will definitely want to check it, and its interactive enhancements, out.

COPENHAGEN (Nov. 20, 2012) – Square Enix and IO Interactive today announces that HITMAN®: ABSOLUTION™ is now available.

HITMAN: ABSOLUTION follows Agent 47™, a cold-blooded assassin, who takes on his most dangerous contract to date. Betrayed by those he once trusted — and now hunted by the police — he suddenly finds himself at the center of a dark conspiracy and must embark on a personal journey through a corrupt and twisted world.

HITMAN: ABSOLUTION also introduces Contracts mode, a new online mode which allows gamers to create and share their own custom hit challenges within the game. They choose a level, targets, weapons and then set rules for completing the contract based on time, style and witnesses. As an asynchronous mode, players can compete against friends at any time, regardless of whether or not they are online. Upon accepting and successfully completing a contract, players will be rewarded in contract dollars which they can use to purchase weapons, disguises, upgrades, and techniques. Contracts is free for anyone who owns a copy of HITMAN: ABSOLUTION.

Powered by IO INTERACTIVE’S new proprietary GLACIER 2™ technology, HITMAN: ABSOLUTION delivers a cinematic experience in a living breathing world, where player choice is paramount. Experience unique disguise gameplay, improvised weapons and a myriad ways to take out a target in HITMAN: ABSOLUTION.

HITMAN: ABSOLUTION is rated M for Mature. Please visit the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) website at www.esrb.org for more information about ratings. For more information and updates about HITMAN: ABSOLUTION, please visit the official website at: www.hitman.com.
