Saints Row IV Getting Collector’s Edition, Complete With Dubstep Gun

Deep Silver and Volition's Saints Row IV is approaching its scheduled North American release date of August 20th and as is the case with many high-profile game releases, it's getting a limited collector's edition, by the name of The Super Dangerous Wub Wub Edition. This odd-sounding title may stem from the fact that in addition to the game and a few downloadable pre-order bonuses, those who buy the package will be rewarded with a 12-inch replica of the game's infamous Dubstep Gun.

Deep Silver and Volition’s Saints Row IV is approaching its scheduled North American release date of August 20th and as is the case with many high-profile game releases, it’s getting a limited collector’s edition, by the name of The Super Dangerous Wub Wub Edition. This odd-sounding title may stem from the fact that in addition to the game and a few downloadable pre-order bonuses, those who buy the package will be rewarded with a 12-inch replica of the game’s infamous Dubstep Gun.

Along with an alternate cover, other bonus items include an 8-inch statue of fallen Third Street Saint Johnny Gat and a Dubstep Doomsday Button, presumably for dropping phat beats alongside the gun. In-game bonuses will include the ‘Merica gun, an Uncle Sam suit for the main character, and a Screaming Eagle VTOL jet.

The Super Dangerous Wub Wub Edition of Saints Row IV is currently scheduled for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions only, likely due to the PC’s diminished presence in the world of physical media. We will keep you updated as more news regarding the game drops.
