Proving that Thanos isn’t the only villain of Avengers: Infinity War, a sinister new piece of concept art has emerged that places the focus squarely on the Black Order, an intergalactic group of castaways and scoundrels who all have one thing in common: they’re the adopted children of Marvel’s Mad Titan.

That’s right, just like Gamora and Nebula before them, the Black Order – namely Proxima Midnight, Ebony Maw, Corvus Glaive and Cull Obsidian – can be considered the unruly offspring of Thanos, and at least based on Infinity War‘s pair of trailers, their loyalty knows no bounds.

On one side of the globe, Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian have parked a giant, circular ship over the New York City, leaving the field open for Glaive and Proxima Midnight to corner Vision and Scarlet Witch on the streets of Edinburgh – you know before Cap and Falcon swoop in to save the day. But rather than getting caught up in plot details, let’s, ahem, marvel at Infinity War‘s roster of villains:

It’s an incredibly detailed preview of Infinity War‘s CG-powered baddies. The question, really, is whether they’ll be able to live long in the memories of Marvel fans. Truth be told, and with the exception of Loki and Killmonger, the MCU has struggled to deliver many truly exceptional baddies, but we’re quietly confident that Avengers 3 will change all that before the month’s end.

Avengers: Infinity War touches down on April 27th, when it’s expected to score a whopping $200 million haul in its opening weekend. And that’s just in North America.
