Avengers: Infinity War Trailer Will Be Online Before The Year’s End, Kevin Feige Confirms

Curious as to when the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War will be online? Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige has just narrowed the release window.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige isn’t one to divulge too much, too soon – hence the level of secrecy swirling around Phase 4 – but when pressed about the status of Avengers: Infinity War‘s first teaser, Feige confirmed that said promo should be online “before the end of the year.” And not much else.

Alas, one would assume that Marvel will piggyback on Thor: Ragnarok‘s release in November, particularly when you consider that December belongs to a little-known sequel called Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Besides, the Powers That Be over at Marvel have a long track record of attaching trailers to fellow MCU movies – think of how Ragnarok‘s initial teaser released in and around the same corridor as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 earlier in the year. And then there’s the launch of Justice League (November 17th) to consider.

Of course, Marvel will be more concerned about ensuring that its own house is in order before worrying about the competition, and given how Ragnarok is said to be tracking for a $90m-$100m opening at the domestic box office, we’d hazard a guess that the MCU is doing just fine.

When it comes to the Infinity War trailer, though, unless you were one of the fortunate few in attendance at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, chances are that that promo has always been just out of reach. The Internet did manage to uncover a bootleg version, but it was quickly pulled offline at the request of Marvel Studios. However, fear not, for it looks as though the real McCoy is beginning to loom on the horizon.

Per Twitter:

Thor: Ragnarok is the safe bet, of course, given Taika Waititi’s buzzworthy threequel is right around the corner. Then again, The Last Jedi and Avengers: Infinity War are both Disney properties, so there’s every chance the Mouse House will use the former as a platform to stoke excitement for the latter. Only time will tell.
