Elton John May Have A Cameo In The Secret Service

While the cast list for The Secret Service has been getting more and more impressive with additions such as Michael Caine and possibly Emma Watson, there are also some interesting cameos being lined up for Matthew Vaughn’s adaptation of the graphic novel. Today, we have word that Sir Elton John may be making an appearance in the film.

The current plan, according to an unnamed source, is for Elton to be brawling in the streets during a huge fight scene. Word is that Vaughn wants as many famous British faces as possible to be on screen since this is very much a British movie. Considering Vaughn probably won’t be able to get any of the royal family to appear, who better than Elton John for a famous British face? Vaughn also wants to turn the film into the franchise, so he’s trying to get the biggest names possible involved.

Keep in mind, this news is coming from an unnamed source through The Sun, and on more than one occasion The Sun has been way off with reports. However, they were the first ones to report Caine had joined the film, and Variety later confirmed that, so this Elton John cameo is definitely worth considering.

The original comic includes cameos from Mark Hamill and Ridley Scott, and there’s already word that Hamill will be appearing in that same cameo role. Could Scott appear as well? Only time will tell.
