Rumors have begun to spread around the web about Martin Scorsese‘s new kid’s film, Hugo Cabret. The rumors started on an unofficial twitter page for the film that claims the first official trailer will be presented in front of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, which opens on July 15th, 2011. Paramount has stated that the twitter account is not the films official account, but they haven’t denied the rumors of a possible trailer coming soon.

I’m hoping this rumor ends up being true as we’ve really heard very little about the film. I’m curious to see what Martin Scorsese has up his sleeve. A kid’s film doesn’t sound like his type, but he has yet to really disappoint so we can’t count out the film just yet.

Hugo Cabret is directed by Martin Scorsese and stars Asa Butterfield, Chloe Moretz, Christopher Lee, Sacha Baron Cohen and Jude Law. It will be released in 3D on November 23rd, 2011.

Check out the synopsis below and thanks to SlashFilm for the tip!

Based on Brian Selznick’s captivating and imaginative New York Times bestseller “The Invention of Hugo Cabret.” “Hugo Cabret,” Scorsese’s first film shot in 3D, tells the tale of an orphan boy living a secret life in the walls of a Paris train station. When Hugo encounters a broken machine, an eccentric girl, and the cold, reserved man who runs the toy shop, he is caught up in a magical, mysterious adventure that could put all of his secrets in jeopardy.
