Is The Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Trailer Attached To The Last Jedi?

I bet you didn't think you could be any more excited for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, did you? Well, what if we throw a couple of dinosaurs into the mix? Yup, that's right, we're hearing that The Last Jedi is going to have the first trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom attached to it. Now, this deal isn't done and dusted yet, but some smart detective work by fansite Jurassic Outpost sounds pretty convincing to us and we're excited by their deductions that we might even get sight of the trailer in early December.

I bet you didn’t think you could be any more excited for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, did you? Well, what if we throw a couple of dinosaurs into the mix? Yup, that’s right, we’re hearing that The Last Jedi is going to have the first trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom attached to it.

Now, this deal isn’t done and dusted yet, but some smart detective work by fansite Jurassic Outpost sounds pretty convincing to us and we’re excited by their deductions that we might even get sight of the trailer in a few short weeks. According to them, it’ll be here no earlier than December 1st and no later than December 13th. So, not too long to go, then.

As awesome as the Jurassic Park dinos are, this is going to be a tricky holiday market to stand out in. Not only is it going to be a very Star Wars Christmas, but persistent rumors put the release of the Avengers: Infinity War trailer on December 4th. And, given that Disney owns both Star Wars and Marvel, we can all but guarantee that any preview for the superhero extravaganza will also appear in front of The Last Jedi.

Regardless of which of these catches the eye, a triple threat of Jurassic Park, Marvel and Star Wars sounds like a night in heaven for any self-respecting film geek, don’t you think?

My only concern is that the end product might fizzle rather than spark. I enjoyed Jurassic World during my first watch, but on a subsequent rewatch it felt awfully flimsy. Fallen Kingdom is built upon these foundations and its promise of militarized dinosaur soldiers could either be winningly weird or just a bit too silly for a what’s been a (relatively) grounded franchise.

Still, the continued star wattage of Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard has to count for something, as does the introduction of James Cromwell’s Benjamin Lockwood, John Hammond’s hitherto unmentioned partner in developing dinosaur cloning. The cherry on top, though, is Jeff Goldblum’s return as Dr. Ian Malcolm, because what film can’t be improved with more Goldblum?

You can be assured that we’ll have the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom trailer up for you the nanosecond its released online, but until then, let us know what you’re hoping to see from the film by commenting below.
