Take A Walk Among The Tombstones With Liam Neeson

At 62, Liam Neeson may be getting up there in age, but that isn't stopping him from busting heads on what feels like a monthly basis. Already this year he has starred in Non-Stop, The Lego Movie and A Million Ways To Die In The West, and has not so surprisingly been a highlight of all three.

At 62, Liam Neeson may be getting up there in age, but that isn’t stopping him from busting heads on what feels like a monthly basis. Already this year he has starred in Non-Stop, The Lego Movie and A Million Ways To Die In The West, and has not so surprisingly been a highlight of all three.

Adapted from Lawrence Block’s novel of the same name, A Walk Among The Tombstones will be Neeson’s next outing, and it looks to be another intriguing thriller vehicle for the menacing Irishman to show off his deadly set of skills. Furthermore, the tone also appears much more dramatic and grounded in reality than his usual action films, like the Taken franchise and Unknown.

For starters, A Walk Among The Tombstones has already been given an R rating by the MPAA, which is lately fairly uncommon for your typical Liam Neeson action thriller. And when you take a look at a brief synopsis of the plot, it’s all the proof you need to know that this will be a much darker tale.

As an unlicensed private investigator, Liam Neeson is contracted by a drug lord to find the men that kidnapped and murdered his wife. On the surface that seems pretty straightforward, but as evident from the trailer, there is something much more complex going on, and that this man’s family was picked for a reason. Essentially, it looks like a very captivating thriller that will be peppered with loads of plot twists, always looking to stay one step ahead of the viewer.

A Walk Among The Tombstones will be written and directed by Scott Frank, and is released on September 19th, 2014. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.
