Are you excited for Man Of Steel? Are you?! If you’re not, it is certainly not the fault of the Warner Brothers marketing department. Thus far we have received teasers, trailers, TV spots, behind-the-scenes footage, interviews and clips from Zack Snyder’s upcoming entry in the superhero franchise world. If you want one more extended look at Man Of Steel before it hits theatres on June 14, here it is: a 13-minute featurette featuring Superman and all his friends.

The featurette combines cast and crew interviews, snippets of film and behind-the-scenes footage to give that final taster for what Man Of Steel has in store for us. We get brief glimpses of choices behind costume design and casting, brief cast interviews and explanations of certain concepts behind this particular iteration of a very well-known origin story. Superman is one of the most famous heroes in comicdom and Zack Snyder is evidently working hard to ensure that his vision appears at least semi-unique.

I am not a big comic book person, nor am I a Zack Snyder fan – unless you count being a ‘fan’ as sitting through his films making snide remarks. The campaign surrounding Man Of Steel has been pretty much par for the course when it comes to big superhero films. They’ve inundated the public with images and clips and videos from the film to the point that most of us feel like we’ve seen it already. But who can blame them? Warner Brothers is banking on this one. Without Man Of Steel making a resounding success, the future of any Justice League films is in serious jeopardy. They needn’t worry though, this is going to be big.

The featurette is nothing special in terms of marketing, but it is the final play for your movie-going dollars. Warner Brothers has given us everything they can to make us want to see this movie. Come June 14, they’ll know if it has paid off.

Check out the featurette below and let us know what you think about Man Of Steel in the comments.
