The Stare is a drama in which a playwright played by Ryder begins to lose her mind as she struggles to launch her next production. She’s plagued by dreams and visions of being watched, but can’t decide if she has started losing her mind or is being manipulated by a secret plot. Franco will play one of the performers in the playwright’s production. The film sounds a bit like Black Swan, scratch that a lot like Black Swan, which similarly stars Winona Ryder. This time however it is Ryder who gets the chance to bonkers instead of Natalie Portman. However, it sounds interesting and it’s nice to see that the Oscars haven’t wrecked Franco’s career.
