Cesar Makes His Debut With Ode To “Old Kanye”

DEAR KANYE,
YOU CAN’T JUST PUT DRY VOCALS ON AN ALBUM. AND EXPECT US NOT TO REMIX IT.
FROM ONE PRODUCER TO ANOTHER.
NOTHING BUT RESPECT.

Upon further investigation of the email, the image redirected me to to a remix of I Love Kanye from a producer by the name of Cesar, appropriately retitled “Old Kanye.”

The song goes pretty hard, and reminds me of something TroyBoi or Mr. Carmack would do. It even kicks off with a sample from Kanye’s rant at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, before going into a percussion-ridden trap & bass drop.

Personally, I thought it was a cool campaign, so props to Cesar‘s for getting attention that way. Only time can tell where this guy will go in the next few months, but we’re definitely going to be keeping an eye on him.
