DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow Traverse “River Of Time” In Extended Promo

Last night's episode of DC's Legends of Tomorrow, "Leviathan," delivered a sci-fi superhero epic that lived up to the precedent set by the two-part pilot and showed what the series is truly capable of. The extended promo for next week's all new episode, "River of Time," looks to continue that momentum with a vengeance and can be viewed at the top.

With just three episodes left this season, things are definitely heating up as the team now has Vandal Savage in their custody. They had their shot at extinguishing him last night, but Hawkgirl failed to pull the trigger, so to speak, as Savage is leveraging the mental state of the latest incarnation of Hawkman as a bargaining chip. After a handful of failures this season, it is nice to see the team achieve some measure of success, although they should have expected a 4,000 year old genius to have an ace up his sleeve.

While on the subject of Savage, I must say that I like how the trailer portrays him as both supremely powerful and threatening. This series has done a great job of handling one of DC’s most powerful villains and Casper Crump continues to prove that his casting was nothing short of a coup.

For more details, be sure to check out the official synopsis below:

After numerous attempts in many different time periods, the team has successfully captured Vandal Savage (guest star Casper Crump). However, Savage tells Kendra (Ciara Renée) that he can reunite her with Carter (Falk Hentschel) so she struggles with whether she should kill him. Rip (Arthur Darvill) decides they will deliver Savage to the Time Masters which doesn’t sit well with Snart (Wentworth Miller) and Rory (Dominic Purcell). The duo decides it may be time to jump ship and return to their old life. Meanwhile, Savage taunts Ray (Brandon Routh) about his place in Kendra’s life. Alice Troughton directed the episode written by Cortney Norris & Anderson Mackenzie (#114). Original airdate 5/5/2016.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow airs Thursday nights at 8:00 pm EST on The CW.
