The Walking Dead Season 3 To Lose Another Series Regular

The Walking Dead2 The Walking Dead Season 3 To Lose Another Series Regular
Don’t worry about spoilers during this post as we don’t actually know who it will be, but we are getting word from Michael Ausiello of TV Line that yet another series regular from The Walking Dead will be killed off during the upcoming season.

Here’s what Ausiello had to say regarding the scoop:

I can confirm that a series regular will become zombie kibble during Season 3, but whether that death takes place in the first half or second half I can’t say.

So we don’t know who it will be or when it will happen, but it apparently will happen at some point during the season. As to who will become “zombie kibble,” we can only speculate.

I think it’s pretty safe to assume that Rick and his family will be fine, that is, unless they’re going for something really shocking. I’m thinking it’s going to be one of the characters that we don’t see very much of like Daryl or T-Dog, the latter of which was given practically nothing to do throughout season 2. Then again, it could surprisingly be someone who’s around quite a bit like Glenn or Carol.

It’s rather surprising that they would want to kill someone off again already, especially given the bloodbath at the end of season 2, which saw the departure of a number of characters including Dale and Shane.

I’ve never read any of the comic books, so I don’t know if there’s someone specific that’s supposed to die or not, but I have learned that the makers of the show are merely using the comics as a guide, changing several things as they see fit. So even if someone is slated to die at this point in the story, it’s not necessarily set in stone that it will happen.

The new season will see the introduction of new characters like The Governor and Michonne, with the small band of survivors attempting to find safety from the endless hoards of walkers in a prison. You can catch season 3 on AMC when it premieres on October 14th.

Who do you think will meet their demise? Let us know in the comments!

lol yes we’ve seen soooo little of daryl and so much of carol thats why daryl is a regular and carol is a recurring character.

She certainly seemed to be around a lot more than Daryl. Either way, both of them are easily disposable characters at this point.

No, Daryl is a fan favorite. You kill him, you kill most of the Walking Dead audience, and that would be a stupid mistake by the writers if they were to kill him off this early. He has evolved throughout each season, and i see him easily going on a couple more seasons if not making it all the way through. I can see Beth, T-Dog, Carol, Hershcal, and Lori and her baby getting killed this season. That would set up season 4 with Rick going crazy, Carl becoming an adult, and Abraham, and his crew trying to get to Washington.

Daryl is alright but evolved? When? It was half assed just like all the characters this season except for Shane who had the best character development in the show right now.

I prefer the angry redneck from the first season all of a sudden he turns nice and people are just loving him to death for it.

He is a badass but without good character development what is the point of the whole show? It’s about the characters if the writers can’t do something simple as that I’m dropping this shit hopefully season 3 will improve and have at least 1 character that has decent development and not half assed like in season 2.

As a huge fan of the comics, I can tell you there’s no guidelines comparing the two. Dale had a much longer and more fufilling life in the comics, putting his short TV existance to shame, while Shane lasted for an even shorter amount of time on paper, not even making it out of the camp. (Sorry folks, ithe comic has been around since 2003, I don’t want to hear any spoiler whining) That’s what makes the comics so enticing though, NOBODY is safe. Characters live and die with no pattern, evoking the f#cked up world Rick and the group now live in.

That said, I think the show will attempt to copy the comic and try to surprise us as well, and I’m going to go on record and say Lori doesn’t make it past this season. It’s too perfect. Season 2 ends with Rick and Lori’s little spat about Shane and whatnot, they’ll build the relationship back up in Season 3, and then BOOM – we’ll get a dead Lori and an even more messed up Rick.
We’re already starting to see that with Dale/Sophia’s death while T-Dawg uselessly sits on poarch stoops, and I think it’ll go one step farther.
    That’s just me though!
