New Supergirl Images Hint At Confrontation With Lena Luthor

More often than not, advance photos promoting TV shows ahead of air date are known for serving up spoilers - it's just a matter of how much will be on display. So, as you peruse the pictures provided, the first thing you’ll notice is a whole lot of everyone standing around and looking confused. The other is Lena Luthor appearing as though she’s posing for a brochure circulated by a college with a strong focus on the sciences.

But if you look deeper, you begin seeing this as a flipbook of sorts, as can sometimes be the case with promotional galleries. And since there’s a complete absence of Reign or any other sort of guest villain, you have to admit it looks like Kara and Mon-El are bursting into Lena’s lab uninvited.

Already, we’ve seen the Girl of Steel and the current Luthor in charge butt heads in a variety of situations, chiefly due to Supergirl going behind Lena’s back, as well as the latter figuring out a way of synthesizing Kryptonite. Suffice it to say, the arguments that have ensued can be explored from several angles.

Still, it’s hard to forget a villainous turn for Lena was teased last summer, so we won’t be surprised in the slightest if she’s driven over the edge. On the other hand, many viewers protest her going to the dark side because it’s too obvious and she’d just be a female version of Lex. But if you read comics, then you’d know her literary counterpart has committed some wicked acts.
