There’s no doubt that Brad Pitt has had a long and successful career, but the fact that the iconic heist film Ocean’s Eleven is turning 20 this year is sure to shock many who feel like they saw it only yesterday.

The film follows Danny Ocean as he plans to recruit a team of thieves in order to pull off the biggest heist in history by robbing three casinos in one night while simultaneously getting revenge on their owner, Terry Benedict.

The crime blockbuster was released on the Dec. 7, 2001 and boasts an all-star cast, including Pitt, George Clooney, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts, and Casey Affleck. With an A-list lineup like that, it’s no surprise that the film’s release brought in a monster $450 million worldwide⏤three times the amount the characters planned to steal in the movie.

Due to the film’s large success, it was then approved for the sequels Ocean’s Twelve and Ocean’s Thirteen as well as the female-led spinoff Ocean’s Eight.

Since the movie’s release, Pitt has gone on to star in other iconic projects including Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Inglourious Basterds, and 12 Years a Slave. His dedication and talent finally landed him an Oscar in 2020 for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Cliff Booth in the renowned Quentin Tarantino film Once Upon a Time…In Hollywood.

If you want to experience the nostalgia of the 20-year-old film, you can stream it now on Hulu and HBO Max.
