spider-man: across the spider-verse

‘Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse Part II’ won’t hit cinemas until 2024

'Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse Part II' won't be arriving in cinemas until early 2024, almost two years from now.

Hopefully you got your fix of the web-slinging comic book icon with last December’s No Way Home, because Sony’s forthcoming two-part animated sequel Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse won’t be hitting cinemas for quite some time.

After it was announced that the Part I was being delayed from October of this year to June 2023, the second half of Miles Morales’ next adventure was swiftly shunted back from an unspecified 2023 debut to March 29, 2024, leaving fans everywhere devastated in the process.

The wait it likely due to Sony delaying Across the Spider-Verse‘s opening salvo, which will leave enough breathing room for the hype train to build all over again. As the continuation of an Oscar-winning original that won rave reviews from all corners, expectations were already through the roof, and they’ll be exponentially higher by the time June 2023 and March 2024 roll around.

One positive is that there’s plenty of Spidey-adjacent content still to come, with Kraven the Hunter arriving in January, before Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney’s Madame Web lands in July, with the latter also being given a locked-in theatrical bow as part of Sony’s wide-ranging scheduling announcement.
