Vanna White will be a contestant on ‘Wheel of Fortune’ against ‘Jeopardy!’ hosts tonight, but who will turn the letters?

Hint: She's already familiar with the tools of the trade.

In a weird move, a publicity stunt, or maybe just a desire to do something different for once, Wheel of Fortune letter-flipper Vanna White will be a contestant on the legacy game show. But who’s going to turn the letters in her absence?

If your answer is a robot, the answer is no but it probably should be. The person flipping letters will be none other than host Pat Sajak’s daughter Maggie. Maggie Sajak, 28, will be filling in for White, 66, as she spins the board instead of the letters for the first time in her career since she started on the show in 1982.

Maggie Sajak is a “social correspondent” on the show, and she’s been preparing herself to take on the letter board. She’s been posting behind the scenes clips on her Instagram all week, and her latest shows her walking down a flight of steps about to walk on the show.

In a preview for the episode, the older Sajak said it would be weird seeing White by the wheel instead of the letter board.

“You’re over there usually, so I see you on my right and we’ve had this habit for 40 years,” he said in the preview. “I’ve never seen your left side. It’s very nice. It’s as nice as your right side.”

White will compete against celebrity contestants Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik from Jeopardy for charity. Maggie Sajak appeared on the popular show Watch What Happens Live on the Bravo network to publicize her appearance.

Wheel of Fortune airs weekdays before prime time on ABC.
