Dave Filoni shares his pick for the greatest ‘Star Wars’ jedi of all time

Do you agree with Dave Filoni's choice?

Only a month remains until the next Star Wars series, Ahsoka, arrives on Disney Plus. To celebrate the approaching release, Disney has released a video to generate excitement for the series, which led to the revelation of who Dave Filoni believes is the best Jedi in the franchise.

In the video titled “Journey to Ahsoka,” Filoni discusses how this significant Star Wars: The Clone Wars character will receive her own standalone show, reminding fans of her role in the Star Wars universe. Alongside praising this former padawan, Filoni also expressed admiration for Anakin Skywalker, claiming that he is “the greatest Jedi of all time.”

While other notable Jedi, such as Obi-Wan or Yoda, could lay claim to this title, one could argue why Anakin would be described as such. He was the chosen one, as stated in Star Wars: Episode 3 – Revenge of the Sith when Obi-Wan declared that he was the one who would destroy the Sith and bring balance to the Force. Additionally, he defied his Sith master, Emperor Palpatine, in Episode VI when he attempted to kill Luke Skywalker and sacrificed his life for his son.

It has been confirmed that Hayden Christensen will reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker in the upcoming Disney Plus series. It was previously reported that Christensen will be wearing the same outfit he wore on Mustafar in Revenge of the Sith for this Disney Plus series. There was also speculation that Ahsoka may have a showdown with her former Jedi master. While the show’s IMDb page states that Christensen is set to appear in one episode, this could change upon the show’s release.

Ahsoka is set to take place around 12 ABY in the Star Wars Timeline and, according to IMDb, it will a continuation to Star Wars Rebels. If you are eager to witness this next Star Wars series, Ahsoka is scheduled to land on Disney Plus on Aug. 23, 2023.
