‘Scariest thing I’ve ever seen in my life’: Man records demonic apparition in crawlspace under his house and TikTok is freaking out

TikTok is chock-full of ghost-hunters, at least that’s what my algorithm shows me, videos of friends venturing into abandoned buildings, spooky forests, or old castles in search of paranormal activity. But what do you do when that paranormal activity is occurring in your own home?

A man by the name of Kyle Anthony has been documenting the strange goings on in his home for months now. From creepy child’s laughter coming from his basement to haunted dolls, this man’s house truly is all the horror movie tropes rolled into one terrifying package and he may have just recorded the most horrifying piece of evidence so far.

Anthony recently uploaded footage taken from a camera set up in the crawlspace underneath his house, as if crawlspaces weren’t scary enough. The video shows the dark space underneath Anthony’s house stretching into infinity. If you look closely, a figure appears to materialize out of the darkness as if moving towards the camera. It’s very faint, almost appearing like smoke. 

Whatever the ghostly apparition is, it doesn’t come close enough to be clearly perceived, although I feel like perhaps we should be grateful for that.

The people of TikTok share some theories

Naturally the paranormal experts of TikTok immediately got to work analyzing the footage. Some claimed tye couldn’t see anything (if you turn your phone brightness up it’s definitely visible). Others took screenshots of the demonic figure and upped the brightness and contrast even more to give a clearer image of whatever it was down in Anthony’s crawlspace. The results are terrifying.

If that thing truly is underneath his home it’s time to pack up and leave post haste. But that begs the question, is this real? Or an elaborate hoax? One person claimed to be an “empath medium” and claimed that the figure is a murderer who is confessing to the murder of a little girl. Others suggested a slightly more realistic claiming it could be a phrogging situation. For those who don’t know, phrogging is when an intruder sneaks into and lives in a resident’s home undetected.

There’s also the possibility that this is a well thought out hoax on Anthony’s part. If we check his page we can see a link to his website which tells us he’s a horror author. Now that doesn’t mean any of this is fake, but these things usually are, plus it’s an awfully big coincidence that Anthony is a horror author. There’s clearly much more to this story as Anthony claims to have found a doll with no eyes and journal that might hold the answers to this mystery. Sounds very much like the plot to a horror novel rather than something that would happen in real life but we can’t say for sure.
