Denver bartender serves tequila to customer. He outright skips weird to be disgusting and requests her to spit in his drink

Sir, that is NOT what "extra garnish" means.

A bartender in Denver had a night she will never forget. Gabriella Masseran was working at her bar when a customer asked her to do something she had never heard before. She posted about it on TikTok and the video quickly got a lot of attention.

Masseran was busy that night because her bar was hosting a party for members of a Colorado sports team. Everything seemed normal at first. Customers were ordering drinks and having a good time. Then one man came up and ordered a shot of tequila.

The man asked for Casamigos Blanco tequila. Masseran asked if he wanted a chaser to go with it. He said no. She poured the shot and handed it to him. But then he told her something was missing. She thought he wanted salt and lime, which people usually have with tequila shots. That was not what he wanted. “This guy asked me to spit in his shot,” Masseran says in the video. “I mean, I’ve had a lot of weird interactions at the bar, but why do you need me to spit in your shot?”

This is not what bartenders sign up for

Masseran could not believe what she was hearing. She thought the guy was acting like he was at some college party, not at a real bar. She asked him why he wanted her to spit in his drink. He just said again that he needed her spit in the shot. The video does not say if he was joking or if he really meant it.

Masseran did not want to deal with this anymore. She decided the best thing to do was let him have the drink for free and walk away. “I was like, I’m just going to let you have it. This one’s on me, man. This one’s on me,” she says. She just wanted the weird moment to be over. Like a Florida man who exposed what really happens in the service industry, Masseran’s video shows the strange things workers have to deal with.

This story shows the kind of weird stuff bartenders have to handle at work. A security company in Colorado called Pikes Peak Security says that people who work in bars and restaurants often deal with customers who act badly after drinking. Women who work in these jobs face this problem a lot. The company says bartenders need to stay calm and know when to ask for help.

Experts say bartenders should talk to their managers when customers make them feel weird or unsafe. Many workers make the mistake of not knowing who to call when things go wrong. The security company says that staying safe is more important than getting a good tip. Just as viral workplace pranks can create awkward moments, this situation shows how fast things can get uncomfortable at work.

What happened to Masseran might sound more strange than scary. But it reminds everyone that bartenders need to trust their feelings when something does not seem right. Her video got more than 26,000 views. Many other bartenders left comments sharing their own stories about odd requests from customers.
