JD Vance has called upon Democratic lawmakers to play nice with federal agents and help them find sex offenders. If it’s sex offenders he’s looking for there are a few obvious individuals we could point out who are very close to the vice president, but he probably wouldn’t like those answers.
The streets of Minneapolis have been total anarchy the past few weeks and it’s in large part due to the messy and uncoordinated work ICE have been doing there. Speaking in the city, Vance called on Democrats, name dropping Tim Walz and Jacob Frey specifically, telling them that he doesn’t need them to agree with him, but asking them to work with and “empower” federal agents such as ICE in order to have less chaos and more targeted raids.
Vance went on to create a hypothetical scenario in which federal agents are looking for a sex offender saying, “If we’re trying to find a sex offender, tell us where the guy lives.”
His argument is pretty disingenuous considering ICE aren’t primarily targeting sex offenders. In fact, we’ve seen them arrest more children than they have supposed sex criminals. He makes it sounds as if the Democrats are the ones protecting these imaginary sex offenders, which we can only assume is intentional, meanwhile, there’s one well known sex offender still walking free as we speak. Unfortunately for all of us, he’s JD Vance’s boss.
The call is coming from inside the house
JD Vance seems blissfully unaware that Donald Trump is in fact a sex offender. In 2023, the president was found legally responsible by a jury for the sexual assault of columnist E Jean Carroll. He also has a plethora of other accusations that have been made against him from other supposed victims.
Last year Trump was also strangely adamant that the Epstein files were buried and even now, the DOJ is dragging its feet in releasing them despite being legally compelled to. If we want to target and detain sex offenders why not start by raiding the White House?
Plenty of others online agreed, Vance pretty much set himself up for jokes and memes to be made at his expense as people shared pictures pointing to the White House in response to his comment.
The fact that Vance is using SA as an excuse to guilt lawmakers into helping federal agents commit unlawful raids on mostly innocent people is truly despicable. The hypocrisy is on full display and yet it seems there is no shame from Vance or his party. While real sex offenders sit in office he would rather shame his political opponents for not helping catch imaginary ones.
