‘She probably had herself sprayed’: Trump dismisses terrifying attack on Rep. Ilhan Omar, won’t even bother to watch footage

"No. I don't think about her. I think she's a fraud."

Donald Trump has been clear what he thinks of Rep. Ilhan Omar. He’s called her a “horrible woman”, says she makes “ungrateful U.S. hate statements”, and has deemed her “garbage” that should be “thrown out of the country”.

All of which means that when unkempt MAGA lunatic Andy Kazmierczak stumbled out of the crowd yesterday to spray an unknown chemical over Omar, we all know who’s really to blame. Sure, the screeching Kazmierczak was the one tackled to the floor, but it’s Trump who encouraged him.

As such, it’s entirely predictable that Trump himself has cooked up an inane conspiracy theory that the entire incident was orchestrated by Omar herself. In comments reported by ABC White House correspondent Rachel Scott, he said he wouldn’t even bother to watch the video:

As Trump said when asked for comment:

“No. I don’t think about her. I think she’s a fraud. I really don’t think about that. She probably had herself sprayed, knowing her”

And, when pressed about watching the video:

“I haven’t seen it. No, no. I hope I don’t have to bother.”

Wonderful leadership and a sterling example to everyone, Mr President. Perhaps should at least give Trump some credit for being honest for once. He genuinely doesn’t care if Ilhan Omar was attacked, and he’s not going to bother lying that he does.

Every accusation is a confession

If you’re a little more conspiracy-minded, then perhaps consider that, for MAGA, every accusation is a confession. They accuse Democrats of rigging elections while openly doing the same, accuse their opponents of corruption while stuffing their own wallets, and so on.

So, if Trump’s first accusation is that Omar faked this attack on herself to improve her image, maybe ponder what that might say about Trump himself. Just some food for thought.

It’s also worth remembering that Omar’s mere existence counters Trump’s racist lies about Somali Americans. She’s a refugee who has embraced the United States, worked hard to earn a good education, and has devoted her professional life to serving her community.

So of course he’s determined to smear her as a corrupt, self-serving liar, but take a good look in the mirror sometime, Mr. President.
