The president’s influence over MAGA reaches peak as Texas man shoots his daughter dead during argument about Donald Trump

You shouldn't be this brainwashed.

A British inquest held this week in Warrington, England, has shed light on the tragic death of a young fashion buyer who was fatally shot by her own father in Texas last year following an intense argument about President Trump. The victim, 23-year-old Lucy Harrison, was visiting her father, Kris Harrison, at his Dallas-area home on January 10, 2025, when the confrontation escalated dramatically before she was due to fly home.

Lucy had been vacationing in the United States with her boyfriend, Sam Littler. Littler testified that his girlfriend was already uncomfortable with her father’s gun ownership, and tensions were running high the day they were scheduled to return to Britain. The argument that day centered squarely on President Trump and politics, according to Huffington Post.

Things took an especially dark turn when, during the political disagreement, Lucy reportedly asked her father directly how he would feel if she were a girl who had been sexually assaulted. Kris Harrison, who had moved to the U.S. when Lucy was a child, responded with an absolutely awful, callous remark, stating that since he had two other daughters living with him, that scenario wouldn’t upset him much at all. That repulsive comment prompted Lucy to run upstairs, clearly distressed by her father’s attitude.

Things turned worse over a father’s loyalty to a president over his daughter

About 30 minutes later, just before the couple was supposed to leave for the airport, Lucy was downstairs in the kitchen. Littler told the court that Kris Harrison took his daughter’s hand and led her into a ground-floor bedroom. Littler then heard a loud bang about 15 seconds after they entered the room. He ran in immediately and found Lucy lying on the floor near the bathroom entrance while Kris was screaming what Littler described as “just sort of nonsense.”

It’s just impossible to believe a parent could say something so cold to their own child, especially over a cult-like obsession that MAGA has. According to Kris Harrison’s later written statement, he had relapsed on the day of the shooting, consuming about 550 ml of white wine. Records put into the public record also confirmed his previous visits to rehab for alcohol addiction.

Harrison claimed that he and his daughter had been watching a TV segment about gun crime when he offered to show her the Glock 9mm semi-automatic handgun he kept in a bedroom cabinet. In his statement, Harrison claimed that as he lifted the gun to show Lucy, he suddenly heard a loud bang and Lucy immediately fell.

He stated that he didn’t understand what had happened and couldn’t remember if his finger was actually on the Glock’s trigger at the time of the incident. Despite the investigation by police in Prosper, Texas, into possible manslaughter charges, a Collin County grand jury declined to charge Harrison last June.

While Kris Harrison stated that he “fully accepted” the consequences of his MAGA-fueled actions and added that he carries the weight of the loss every day, he did not face any consequences.
