‘Ruined the moment’: Denver woman’s $7 deal bar night takes a weird turn when a man’s question totally wrecks the mood

Hopefully she finally gets around to finishing her long-gestating saga.

Denver TikTok influencer Morgan Roos told a five-part story about a wild St. Patrick’s Day weekend that went viral. Maybe it was the twists and turns, maybe it was the animated voice changes — but something about Roos’ story pulled in 6M views on TikTok, and some people are still clamoring for more parts.

These numbers are higher than some actual award-winning television shows. Roos’ story wasn’t exactly crafted with the precision of Pluribus, but it managed to confuse just as many people, if the comment section is anything to go by. The only way to give Roos’ story the justice it deserves is to break her weekend into days.

Day one was actually light. It was the eve of St. Patrick’s Day, and Roos and her friend group had planned their fun. But there was a bar deal that Roos just could not resist. It’s at this point that Roos leans forward to her front camera and explains dramatically, “This bar does a beer, a shot, a cigarette all for 7 gotd*mn dollars.”

A lot of people in the comments joked, “that’s when she got me” after she made that statement. But Roos thinks that’s when they jinxed it. Because her friends said they just wanted to have a chill night — which, as we all know, is exactly when things stop being chill.

This is when Roos met someone she got along with. She was having a great time and was internally thinking about how to go home with him — luckily for her, he was way more into her than she was into him. So they went to his place. That was the easy part. But somewhere in the night, in the throes of passion, he asked the question that, in hindsight, she realizes “ruined the moment.” He simply wanted to know if she knew her name. After a couple of those $7 deals… what do you think?

Somehow she powered through the awkwardness, but by day two she was starting on the back foot. This time, all the Girls Trip activities were harder because she hadn’t slept and she was hungover. She woke up at John Doe’s house at 8 a.m. and headed out to meet her friends at yet another party that started at 9:30 a.m. — because of course it did.

There, she met two guys and a frenemy. Somehow, her dynamic with the three just kept getting worse as the day went on. The first was a guy she was playing vodka Russian roulette with (trust me, you’d have to watch her story to understand). The second was a tall guy who matched everything she’s ever wanted in a man except one thing. And the third was simultaneously her girlfriend, her platonic friend, and her ex.

But the story ends on a cliffhanger. At some point, her story got so ridiculous — it could remind you of that time R. Kelly made that telenovela-style music series that was so ludicrous that, if it wasn’t made by R. Kelly, it’d actually steal a couple of chuckles from you.

Hopefully Denver’s own Roos finally gets around to finishing her long-gestating saga — because at this point, even the hangover has a storyline.
