A disturbing website that has been labeled an “academy” for sexual assault has been exposed after reporters from CNN posed as users of the site and spoke with men who frequently visit. The site, known as Motherless, received 62 million visits in the month of February alone.
The shocking exposé published by CNN has received a fair bit of attention online over the past few days although arguably it’s not enough. The content being shared on the site is truly reprehensible and that’s putting it lightly. Motherless describes itself as a “moral free file host where anything legal is hosted forever.” The problem is that much of what is shared on the site goes well beyond the realm of what can be considered “legal.”
One particularly disturbing group chat which the CNN reporter was able to infiltrate saw men discussing the drugging of their wives so that they could violate and sexually abuse the women in their sleep.
The Motherless website features content focused on unconscious women
Files featuring unconscious women being touched by men were shared in the group chat named “Zzz” with one shocking video showing a man mounting a woman who lay in bed next to him. The video was intended to entice viewers to pay for more content which presumably goes even further.
Many of the videos also feature what’s known as an “eyecheck,” where the men lift the eyelids of the unconscious women to prove that they are indeed knocked out. Livestreams where viewers could interact and tell the man what to do were also popular.
People came for advice too
But it’s not just files and livestreams that are shared in this group chat. Plenty of users come looking for advice on how to commit these crimes on their own partner. One text exchange shared by CNN shows someone expressing fantasies about doing this to their wife and even asking about dosages. “Been wanting to do this to my Mrs for ages.” the text reads before carrying on, “I can get —, but honestly s— scared of overdose.” Another person in the chat then advises the first person to start on a low dosage.
What’s worse is that others on the site are running businesses shipping “sleeping liquids” to other users. One man in Ceuta, a Spanish city on the North African coast, offered 150 euros, (about $175) for a bottle of the liquid which he claimed was tasteless and odorless. He boasted, “Your wife won’t feel anything and won’t remember anything.”
Many women are unaware
The victims in these cases are likely completely unaware of what their partners are doing to them. Some, who became aware and have been lucky enough to escape, have spoken out about the disgusting practice. One victim, Zoe Watts was drugged and raped regularly by her husband for 16 years, “we don’t worry about who you lie next to. I didn’t realize I had to,” she told CNN.
In 2024 the public trial of Dominique Pélicot revealed just how depraved some men could truly be. Over several years he drugged his wife Gisèle Pélicot and had multiple men rape her whilst passed out. Unfortunately it seems this horrific crime was not a one off as Motherless proves there are other men like Dominique out there.
