A South Carolina man recently found himself in a bizarre and uncomfortable situation after a simple trip to Walgreens turned into an elaborate ruse involving a stranger in a Porsche. Per BroBible, the man behind the TikTok account @treday_5, known as Trey Day, shared his experience with his 52,700 viewers, telling them, “I just got got.”
The encounter began when he was walking to his car after finishing his errands. He heard someone calling out to him from a Porsche parked nearby. The driver, a man who seemed legit, asked, “Hey, trying to make some money real quick?” Naturally, Day was curious about what the stranger needed.
The man in the Porsche explained that he was moving from one house to another just around the corner and needed some extra help. He offered to pay for the labor, which made the deal sound like easy, quick cash. Day mentioned that he seemed “legit” and so agreed to help and exchanged numbers with the driver, fully expecting a standard professional interaction. He even told his viewers, “So I’m thinking it’s gonna be some good money, easy money.”
Day then learned that everything was not as it seemed
The situation shifted drastically about ten minutes later when Day texted the man for more details. Instead of discussing the move, the driver revealed a completely different motive. He admitted there was no moving job at all and that he had just wanted Day’s. When Day asked what he meant, the driver replied, “I was just trying to see what you was on.”
Day immediately shut down the advances, texting back that he doesn’t “swing that way.” Despite this clear rejection, the driver persisted, claiming that Trey Day didn’t need to be gay and insisting he was still willing to pay him. At this point, the situation became incredibly uncomfortable. Day was left baffled, wondering if he was being pranked. He told his viewers, “S— like that never happened before.”
Eventually, Trey Day made it clear that he is straight and decided to block the individual. However, his experience highlights an observation by Calm, that when you are being flirted with by someone you are not interested in, it can be a deeply uncomfortable experience.
Calm notes that unwanted flirting is defined as when someone continues to express romantic or sexual interest even after you have shown that you are not interested. As a TikTok video by Almezzy showed, this can also show up in the form of someone continuously interrupting and asking questions. If you ever find yourself in a similar spot, the experts suggest remaining calm but assertive.
It is important to communicate your feelings clearly by stating that you are not comfortable with the behavior and asking the person to stop. TikToker Nikki G demonstrated this when a man kept touching her at a bar. If the person continues to ignore your boundaries, it may be time to remove yourself from the situation entirely.
The reaction to Day’s story was a mix of amusement and disbelief. Commenters were quick to weigh in on the strange encounter, with one user noting, “Y’all don’t block ppl fast enough,” while another added, “You know what, I ain’t even mad at it,” to which Trey Day replied, “I am.” Another follower pointed out the absurdity of the situation, asking, “But why you agreeing to help strangers move their houses?”
