Continuing along with its foot on the pedal approach to marketing Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Ubisoft has released another new trailer for the stealth action game in advance of its August 20 release date.

Similar to some of its predecessors, but a bit different nonetheless, the above-mentioned promotional video focuses solely on story content. It does so by first introducing a threat known only as “The Engineers,” and then evolves by bringing in talk about the titular Blacklist and its cryptic threats against American staples. As the leader of Fourth Echelon, Sam Fisher willingly takes on the mission after its need of an operative of his calibre is highlighted, and finds himself in the midst of an advanced terrorist conspiracy that threatens not only his country but also his life, as is made evident at the end of this aptly titled Threat trailer.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist will quietly infiltrate PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii U devices.
