The Xbox 360 version of Takedown: Red Sabre, developed by Serellan, was supposed to have been released alongside the Steam version on September 20th. According to creative director Christian Allen though, the studio has chosen to delay the game in order to fix technical issues and make improvements.

Due to several bugs in the game, the Xbox 360 version did not pass “certification requirements.” Apparently there were problems with Xbox Live connections as well as USB storage and party invites. With the delay, Serellan was able to implement the improvements that were made to the PC version of the game and patch everything up.

Despite the fact that it now seems ready to go, there was no new release date given in the update video. Publisher 505 Games is currently in the process of setting up a launch window though and is in direct talks with Microsoft to do so. Nothing has been finalized yet and as of this writing, we have no idea when Takedown: Red Sabre will launch on the Xbox Live Arcade. In the meantime, Serellan will continue to provide free content updates and patches for the PC version.
