New TV Spot For The LEGO Movie Features Channing Tatum’s Superman

There's always a danger of a big budget film getting overexposed, especially when it looks so apparently awesome from the first trailer. I have waited in fear that The LEGO Movie will outstay its welcome even before it has its day in the cinema, so I am once more pleasantly surprised that yet another TV spot has arrived, and the film still looks incredibly entertaining.

There’s always a danger of a big budget film getting overexposed, especially when it looks so apparently awesome from the first trailer. I have waited in fear that The LEGO Movie will outstay its welcome even before it has its day in the cinema, so I am once more pleasantly surprised that yet another TV spot has arrived, and the film still looks incredibly entertaining.

The LEGO Movie features a cast of epic proportions voicing LEGO versions of popular superheroes and iconic figures, up to and including God. The story centers around Emmet (Chris Pratt), an ordinary guy accidentally identified as the key to saving the world. He goes off on a journey for which he is totally unprepared, accompanied by the likes of Wonder Woman (Cobie Smulders), Batman (Will Arnett), and the Green Lantern (Jonah Hill). The LEGO world that the film creates seems as expansive as anything that Marvel has yet come up with, which bodes well both for this film and the possibility of sequels.

This latest TV spot is the first time we get to hear from Superman, voiced in this case by that All-American Boy Channing Tatum. Otherwise, there’s nothing new here; merely a reminder that The LEGO Movie is coming soon, and it’s going to be pretty cool.

I have no doubt that this will undoubtedly be one of the bigger releases of early 2014, bringing with it merchandising deals aplenty (and probably a sequel, if all goes to plan). With the team of Phil Lord and Chris Miller (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, 21 Jump Street) behind it, it’s likely to be just as much fun as its multiple TV spots, teasers, and trailers suggest.

You can watch the latest TV spot for The LEGO Movie below and let us know what you think in the comments. Then, get along to the cinemas February 7 to experience it in its 3D glory.
