Jack Bauer is back and stuff is blowing up, that’s more or less the message we’ve gathered from the four teasers for 24: Live Another Day that aired during tonight’s Super Bowl. The highly anticipated “event” series, a sequel to 24‘s eight year run on Fox, will follow a fugitive Jack Bauer sucked back into the fight against global terror while in London. Many key cast members from the series are returning, including Kiefer Sutherland, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Kim Raver and William Devane, but what trouble will they get up to? Let’s find out.

Doesn’t offer much, does it? Then again, shooting just began on the miniseries in London, so we’ll likely have to wait a bit longer to see any significant footage.

Here’s the official plot summary, it should provide a few more details.

Twentieth Century Fox Television, Imagine Television and FOX are sending the production of 24: LIVE ANOTHER DAY across the Atlantic to London for a thrilling international adventure, as the new tent-pole event series restarts the clock on the groundbreaking and Emmy Award-winning drama franchise starring Kiefer Sutherland. As previously announced, 24: LIVE ANOTHER DAY will make its historic debut in the summer of 2014 on FOX.

“Four years ago, we left Jack a fugitive from justice and we’re going to pick him up four years later in London. Jack is soon back on the run and it takes us into the streets of London and in places that break new ground for the show. We’ve shot in New York, Washington, Los Angeles and Cape Town — but now we’re in London and Jack’s loose on the streets of Europe, hunted by and hunting bad guys.”

In 24: LIVE ANOTHER DAY, the stakes are higher than ever for BAUER, who is now an exile being tracked by CIA operations head STEVE HARRIS (Benjamin Bratt, “Law & Order”), agent KATE MORGAN (Yvonne Strahovski, “Dexter”), computer tech JORDAN REED (Giles Matthey, “Jobs”) and field operative ERIK RITTER (Gbenga Akinnagbe, “The Wire”). The series also stars Mary Lynn Rajskub (“Firewall”), along with newcomers Michael Wincott (“The Crow”) and Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award winner Judy Davis (“Life with Judy Garland”).

24: Live Another Day bows May 5th on Fox.
