A woman from Arizona said she caught her husband with another woman at a Holiday Inn after tracking his phone location through Find My iPhone. The confrontation was recorded and posted on TikTok by the woman, who goes by Goobz, and has since been followed by two storytime videos explaining what led up to that moment.
Goobz said in her TikTok videos that the incident took place on a Saturday, about two weeks before she posted the story. She said her husband, whom she identified as Randy, had gone out to a bar with friends after work that day.
According to Goobz, Randy called her around 7:30 p.m. and said he was at a country bar. She said she told him to take an Uber home since he had work at 4 a.m., but that was the last time she heard from him that night.
Wife says she used Find My iPhone to track husband’s location
Goobz said she spent the evening with a friend, trying to keep her mind off the situation, but could not shake the feeling that something was wrong. She said that once midnight passed without hearing from her husband, she logged into his iCloud account and used Find My iPhone to check his location, which showed he was at a Holiday Inn.
She said she left her kids with her friend and drove to the hotel. At the front desk, she said she told staff her husband had fallen asleep before telling her his room number, and asked if she could walk the halls playing a sound to locate his phone. Staff allegedly agreed to let her do so.
Goobz said she walked through the first and second floors without success, then went back to the second floor after finding construction on the third. She said she eventually heard the phone’s sound coming from a room and knocked while covering the peephole with her arm.
In the video of the confrontation, a woman later identified as Emily opens the door and says, “Yes?” Goobz then enters the room and reacts, saying, “Whoa! Whoa! Oh my God, Randy!” after hearing her husband’s voice from the bathroom.
When Goobz asked Randy’s location and why he was hiding, he said from the bathroom, “I’m peeing, babe.” Emily then told Goobz, “I’m sorry, I had no idea,” to which Goobz responded, “Okay, that’s fine. I’m not – I don’t have a problem with you. Obviously he doesn’t know, or you don’t know.” Emily replied, “No, he knows.”
Goobz said in her follow-up video that Emily repeatedly told her that she and Randy had not slept together. Goobz said she saw open condoms on the floor and noted the bed sheets were off, which she said seemed unusual. She said Emily told her Randy could not get an erection, which Emily allegedly gave as the reason nothing happened.
Goobz said the two had tried but did not specify further, saying, “I don’t know how much I can say on here.” Discoveries like these are not uncommon on social media, where other spouses have described uncovering a partner’s hidden messages as the moment a relationship changed.
After leaving the room with Randy, Goobz said she asked him what he was thinking. She said he responded by saying he was drunk, telling her, “I don’t know, I was f–ked up. I’m f–ked up. I’m f–king drunk. I’m sorry, I f–ked up.”
Goobz said Randy had taken off his wedding ring before going to the bar and confirmed to her that he remembered arriving at and walking into the hotel. She said this led her to conclude he had known what he was doing.
Goobz said a man unrelated to the situation approached them outside the hotel while she and Randy were talking and, after learning what happened, began questioning Randy about his actions. She said the man stayed and talked for roughly 30 to 45 minutes before she decided to leave.
Goobz said Randy asked her for a ride to his car, which she declined. She said she gave him her wedding ring before leaving and later returned to the home she shared with him to pack his belongings, which she dropped off at his mother’s house along with his house key. TikTok creators have similarly documented discovering a partner’s dating app profile as part of a larger story about alleged infidelity.
Goobz said she is raising her three children and managing the home on her own following the incident. She said recounting the events publicly has been difficult, but described the process as healing.
One commenter wrote, “I work as a receptionist in a hotel, is sad how often I see this.” Another wrote, “You comforting her is wild. Just shows what kind of amazing, strong woman you are! You deserve better!” A third commenter said, “Both ladies were very respectful of each others feelings.” Another commenter wrote, “I don’t think people understand how AWFUL cheating truly is and the harm it causes, ESPECIALLY when it’s an affair and you have children.” Goobz replied, “Indescribable pain…”
