Destiny is so close now I can almost taste it, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t more juicy morsels of info for Bungie to let loose before the game’s release. In fact, a tweet from the game’s official Twitter account yesterday suggests that something big is on its way, sooner rather than later.
Tomorrow: something is coming. Stay vigilant, Guardians. https://t.co/lyIxQrBcS6

Cryptic? Yes. Exciting? Absolutely. Destiny releases a mere five days from now, and though it’s not exactly clear the sort of bomb Bungie could potentially drop between now and then, that just adds to the mystique of it all. We’re going to have to wait and see, so check back later if you’re dying to know. Or just follow Destiny on Twitter.
In other Destiny news, there’s a new trailer out today, this time featuring some exclusive content from the PlayStation versions of the game. It’s old news that Sony scored exclusives maps, weapons, and vehicles for at least at year (at which point Xbox can add them as well), but after seeing the Dust Palace co-op mission in action, I’m feeling even more strongly that the PS4 version is the right choice. You can check out the trailer below.
Ryan Clements of the PlayStation Blog breaks down Dust Palace in the video, noting that it’s available at level 18 and can pose quite a challenge. Still, taking on its challenge seems reasonable and doable with proper teamwork — a skill any serious Destiny player will want to develop in the early stages of play.
Bungie has designed Dust Palace to be “highly replayable,” and every run through its red terrain ought to be not only different, but provide varied loot as well. The map takes place on Mars, my favorite Destiny locale from what we’ve seen so far, so if you own a Sony console there’s little reason not to go with a PlayStation edition of the game.
Destiny releases September 9th, so all of this will be at your fingertips very, very soon. Unless you didn’t pre-order, in which case, I wish you luck. You’re going to need it.
